Your New Role
As a Senior Security Operations Engineer at Medibank, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and operating our information security controls. You'll contribute to our security posture by implementing, maintaining, and managing security controls, systems, processes, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise on Medibank security systems and manage escalations.
- Develop and triage security infrastructure alerts and incidents to prioritize investigation.
- Manage rulesets and configurations of systems that generate security event data.
- Perform operational infrastructure investigations and triage on a wide variety of events.
- Participate in an on-call roster to respond to security and infrastructure events.
- Participate in enterprise-scale security and infrastructure incidents.
About You
- You'll have 7+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, software engineering, system engineering, digital forensics, security engineering, or detection engineering.
- You'll have hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender Suite and Microsoft 365 security features.
- You'll have 2+ years of experience in information security or a related field.
- You'll have demonstrated oral and written communication skills and a data-driven analytical approach.
- You'll have a passion for information security and a history of contribution to the security community.
