Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sommelier to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine service to our guests.

Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of wine and the ability to effectively communicate this to others. You should have a strong passion for providing outstanding customer service and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Sommelier in a reputable restaurant or bar
  • Strong knowledge of wine regions, varieties and pairing techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET certification desirable

Work Arrangements

This is a full-time position requiring a rotating roster that includes evenings, weekends and public holidays.

You must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and be willing to participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.


Licenses and Certifications

To be eligible for this role, you will need:

  • A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate
  • Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET certification desirable

Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to noise, heat and cold temperatures.

You will be required to wear a uniform and adhere to our company's dress code policy.
