About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Wine Connoisseur and Service Leader to join our team at Altitude, our award-winning upscale dining restaurant. As a key member of our wine team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine knowledge and maintaining high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the wine team, ensuring seamless service delivery
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of wine lists, pairing options, and wine-related trends
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to create unforgettable dining experiences
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the dining area
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest complaints with professionalism and tact
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Proven experience as a Wine Sommelier or in a similar supervisory role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Exceptional wine knowledge and a passion for educating and inspiring others
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide your team
- A dedication to providing outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for our guests
