Job Overview

The Commercial Finance Analyst role is available within our team. This position involves collaborating with a group of analysts to provide support across accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

About the job: As a Commercial Analyst, you will work closely with your colleagues to meet periodic reporting requirements for the Wire business. You will be responsible for preparing weekly cashflow forecasts and identifying areas for improvement based on current forecast accuracy.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing weekly cashflow forecasts and recommending areas for improvement.
  • Coordinating site-specific month-end accounting functions within defined timeframes.
  • Preparation and distribution of monthly reporting packs for the Wire Business.
  • Coordination of the annual budget process through the consolidation of quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Assistance in the collection, analysis, and presentation of market data to support product decisions as required.
  • Analysis of key cost drivers to identify performance improvement opportunities and initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience within a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Power BI/SAP is an added advantage.
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills.
