Residential Care Manager

We are seeking an experienced Residential Care Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our care placement in Melbourne's Southern area.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will develop positive relationships with children and young people, promoting healing, emotional growth, and development of life skills.
  • A relevant qualification in line with Residential Care minimum standards or a willingness to undertake relevant study is required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing therapeutic support to Aboriginal children and young people.
  • Collaborating with external agencies to ensure effective support and outcomes for clients.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing individual plans to address client needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care and Aboriginal cultural practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Valid police and working-with-children checks, as well as a Victorian driver's license.
