This challenging yet fulfilling role involves working therapeutically with Aboriginal children who have experienced trauma and disrupted attachment. A strong understanding of VACCA's values and cultural development is essential, as well as an appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures. The ability to respond to pain-based behaviours and advocate for the needs of our clients is crucial.


The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including child protection workers, schools, police and community organisations. They will also be able to participate proactively and openly in the therapeutic team, providing support and guidance to colleagues.
