Curriculum Development Specialist

Curtin School of Population Health is seeking a highly skilled academic dietitian to provide leadership for the Master of Dietetics Programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality learning experiences to postgraduate dietetics students.

The ideal candidate will have experience in curriculum design, teaching, and research. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering a collegial environment and cross-cultural sensitivity.

This is a continuing (permanent) role; permanent work rights in Australia are required to be considered. Successful applicants are subject to National Police Clearance, background, integrity, and reference checks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality learning to postgraduate dietetics students
  • Provide strategic leadership and lead curriculum development of the Master of Dietetics programme
  • Assess student work and coordinate several units
  • Engage in ongoing improvement in teaching methods
Selection Criteria:
  • Accredited Practicing Dietitian recognised by Dietitians Australia with a doctoral qualification in Dietetics or relevant discipline
  • Ability to demonstrate high-level teaching skills and a reflective approach to teaching delivery
  • Experience applying Dietitians Australia National Competency Standards, Accreditation Standards for Dietetics Education Programs, and assessing performance of dietetic students on professional practice programs
  • Strong understanding of pedagogical theory, contemporary educational practices, and a record of scholarship in teaching, including unit/course coordination relevant to the discipline
