Job Summary: We are seeking a Technical Advisor to join our team and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Workshop. As a Technical Advisor, you will provide expert advice to customers on technical issues, mentor and train staff, and produce repair orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice to customers on technical issues
- Mentor, train, and provide workshop support to staff
- Produce repair orders
- Attend technical training when required
- Work closely with all staff in the department, reporting to the Service Manager
- Liaise with the workshop to ensure time constraints are met
- Diagnose vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
- Assist workshop technicians with technical issues
- Parts ordering
- Handle customer complaints
- Promote a safe work environment
- Meet warranty requirements
Requirements:
- Trade qualified Automotive Technician (as the role is semi-productive)
- Strong dealership experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Highly skilled in vehicle diagnostics, both mechanical and electrical systems
