We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Procurement Officer to join our Perth-based team. As a flexible workplace, we offer full or part-time hours to fit your needs.

This role reports directly to the Group Manager - Project Services and is responsible for managing procurement and expediting activities, maintaining procedures, and providing information reporting for allocated projects.

The key tasks include:

  • Planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting progress of all activities required for timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation, and award of purchase orders.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimal prices and deliveries for equipment meeting project technical, schedule, and commercial requirements.
  • Carrying out commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to enable correct supplier choice.
  • Leading high-level negotiations with business partners and suppliers to establish collaborative stakeholder and strategic supplier relationships.
  • Developing and maintaining an effective vendor data (including manuals) and goods tracking system on a company-wide and project-specific basis.
  • Implementing and monitoring the procurement schedule in accordance with the overall delivery schedule.
  • Reviewing all orders to ensure details match the original tender request and client-approved ATC.
  • Liaising with the Project team to prepare project deliverables and contributing to Procurement team members' professional development through mentoring and identifying areas for growth.

The successful candidate will bring:

  • At least 10 years of experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics disciplines, preferably within engineering or construction industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in computerized purchasing and logistics systems, including operation and applications.
  • Sound knowledge of international and local tendering practices.
  • High-level negotiating skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proven track record of achieving consistently high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to create a positive stakeholder management and customer support environment.
