About the Role

Michael Page is recruiting a Chief Procurement Strategist to join one of the largest and most efficient mining operators in the world. This global company has a significant presence across multiple continents, enabling them to invest in the procurement function with a focus on optimisation and efficiency.

Job Overview

This role will involve managing the end-to-end procurement process, particularly the conversion of purchase requisitions to purchase orders through SAP. You will also execute impromptu sourcing projects as required, focusing on operational efficiency, cost-saving, while ensuring compliance. Additionally, you will conduct analysis of operational processes, supplier performance, and market trends to improve operational efficiencies, define potential gaps, and identify commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders through SAP.
  • Execute impromptu sourcing projects as required, prioritising operational efficiency and cost-saving.
  • Analyse operational processes, supplier performance, and market trends to drive improvement.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar or equivalent position, with end-to-end purchasing expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a procurement environment utilising SAP.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to identify favourable commercial outcomes/opportunities.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
