Job Title: Park Attendant

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our parks team in maintaining and improving council-managed open spaces.

This role involves ensuring the upkeep and enhancement of council's parks, reserves, sports fields, road reserves, cemeteries, gardens, and beaches.

Typical duties include:

  • Maintaining parks and open spaces, including reserves, sports fields, and cemeteries.
  • Mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning gardens and lawns.
  • Treating pests, diseases, and weeds.
  • Cleaning and maintaining park facilities, including playgrounds and recreational infrastructure.

Success in this role requires:

  • Practical experience in horticulture and maintenance of parks, gardens, and open spaces.
  • A valid driver's license and confidence operating plant and equipment.
  • Reliability, motivation, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding and adherence to workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Commitment to maintaining safe, welcoming, and well-kept community spaces.
