Pharmacy Technician Role at Cabrini Health Limited

Cabrini Health Limited is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our Malvern and Brighton locations. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered pharmacy services, including clinical pharmacy, dispensing, procurement, sterile and cytotoxic manufacturing, and clinical trial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance and support to pharmacists in the preparation, labelling, and dispensing of medications and sterile preparations
  • Performing medication expiry date checking and rotation of stock and assisting with inventory management
  • Performing ward dispensing and charging based on Omnicell activity reports
  • Reconciling scripts owing and assisting with preparation of H.I.C claims, follow up Medicare and concession numbers, assist with PBS online
  • Managing drug returns from wards/units
  • Receipting, invoicing, and crediting of pharmacy stock
  • Attending to general cleanliness and tidiness of the department, including cleaning, decontaminating sterile cabinets, and microbiological testing

Requirements:

  • Previous pharmacy experience and/or previous experience in a hospital setting advantageous, however, training will be provided
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain excellent levels of customer service
  • Well-developed computer skills
  • A positive attitude and great work ethic with a team focus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • Sound prioritizing and organization skills
