About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our passionate and engaged team as a Laboratory Manager. This is a full-time role working in a Laboratory that operates 24/7, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceptional patient care.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a hospital laboratory with medical scientists and lab assistants in a multi-disciplinary setting, prioritizing work-flow to meet client requirements.
- Perform laboratory work as part of your duties, ensuring results are released within agreed turnaround times.
- Liaise with senior staff and Pathologists regarding unusual and abnormal results, ensuring all laboratory equipment is maintained in optimal condition.
- Review and update all laboratory documentation as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
About You
- To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including a tertiary degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent, AIMS accreditation, and at least 3 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- You will need to possess strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful partnerships, experience in working under tight deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within set timelines.
- Results-orientated and a proactive problem solver, you will be able to define, prioritize, and organize competing tasks to meet deadlines.
