Job Title: Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities

Overview:

Dagun State School is seeking a proactive and reliable Schools Officer to join our team. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and wants to contribute to a friendly community-focused school.

This position is being offered in a temporary part-time capacity with 20 hours per fortnight worked over 2 days per week. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated.

About Dagun State School:

Dagun State School is a small, close-knit rural school nestled beneath the scenic Dagun Hills at the head of the picturesque Mary Valley, just 20 kilometres south of Gympie.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and collect mail, parcels, and documents.
  • Record and deliver messages.
  • Print and photocopy.
  • Prepare classrooms for examinations and prepare activity/assembly halls.
  • Maintain various registers.
  • Stocktake and record/engrave school equipment/furniture and assets.
  • Support security duties including using and maintaining the school security systems.
  • Lock and unlock buildings within core hours.
