We are seeking a highly skilled Mining Safety Specialist to join our team at Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd in a permanent, full-time role. In this position, you will coordinate Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Risk Management for our employees across various sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policy.
- Conduct inspections and facilitate ICAM investigations.
- Manage accident/incident investigations and workplace rehabilitation programs.
- Implement and maintain the Safety Management System.
- Oversee environmental compliance and conduct site inductions and training.

About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- At least 3 years of proven experience in heavy equipment/mining industries.
- Formal qualification/s in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end incident investigations and reporting experience.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide accurate and timely reporting and safety system experience.
- Superior communication and customer service skills across all levels of business.
