Enterprise Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Integration Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, developing and implementing integration solutions that drive efficiency, automation and reliability across our enterprise application landscape.

About the Role:
  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to work closely with cross-functional teams, including System Analysts, Data Engineers and stakeholders, to collaborate on design and development of integration solutions that meet business requirements and technical constraints.
  • You will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing high-quality APIs, ensuring reusability, reliability, scalability and security.
  • An effective manager of API versions, you will ensure backward compatibility and seamless transitions between versions.
  • Your expertise in writing clean, efficient and maintainable code for integration components will be invaluable.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving integration-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions, is also a key aspect of this role.
  • You will conduct code reviews and plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing and regression testing, to verify the reliability, accuracy and performance of integration solutions.
  • Monitoring performance, identifying bottlenecks and optimising for speed, scalability and efficiency is another critical responsibility.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of solutions, including technical specifications and deployment procedures, will be essential.
  • You will document API endpoints, authentication methods and usage examples, to ensure ease of use for internal and external developers.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system analysts, integration testers and other stakeholders, to align DevOps practices with project goals and timelines, fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • You will contribute to architectural decisions and provide input on cloud strategy, scalability and interoperability.
  • Evaluating compliance with relevant frameworks (e.g. ISM, PSPF) and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, integration patterns and best practices, applying this knowledge to optimise and enhance existing integration processes.
  • You will support change management and release coordination, ensuring integration components are deployed smoothly across environments.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting integration workflows, ensuring high availability, performance and data integrity across environments.
