**About the Role**

Our client, a leading industry player in the repair and maintenance of commercial transport and heavy vehicle equipment, is seeking a skilled Welders/Fabricators to join their team.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assemble aluminium components in accordance with work instructions and drawings from supervisors and production staff.
  • Conduct work in line with standard job builds and SOPs.
  • Build jobs as directed by supervisors and production staff, ensuring work is built to appropriate standards and within time constraints.
  • Report broken or damaged machinery, ensuring all problems are tagged out correctly.
  • Weld and fabricate as required and to specifications.
  • Adhere to company health and safety policies and government regulations.
  • Participate in staff consultation and communications, such as toolbox talks and training.

**Physical Demands**

  • Lift, carry, and maneuver material and equipment through physical and mechanical means.
  • Wear specialized protective equipment.
  • Perform general physical activities, including climbing, balancing, sitting, and walking.
  • Perform whole body movements, including twisting, squatting, kneeling, bending, and crawling.
  • Perform sustained physical activities.
  • Operate both handheld tooling and heavier machinery.
  • Work at height or within a confined space.

**Requirements**

  • Trade-qualified in a relevant industry.
  • Health and safety training is desirable.
  • Extensive fabrication experience.
  • Understanding of safe work practices.
  • Good ability to communicate effectively.
  • Attention to detail.
