This position reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for maintaining the reliability and safety of various industrial plant equipment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical or electrical trade, with a strong background in heavy industry maintenance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all plant equipment meets the required standards for SHEQ policies and guidelines
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as PMR inspections, electrical troubleshooting, and conveyor tracking
  • Safely operating site equipment including ball mills, slag dryers, and ship unloaders
  • Supervising contractors and coordinating work permits
  • Raising notifications and work orders through SAP for planned and unplanned maintenance works
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A trade qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Experience working in a heavy industry environment with a focus on maintenance
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Prior knowledge of SCADA systems and operation of industrial plant equipment
