Role Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Personal Care Workers to join our dedicated team.
This role involves filling part-time shifts across both morning and evening periods. As a Personal Care Worker, you will collaborate closely with our Registered Nurses, assisting residents with their daily living activities to promote their well-being and ensure that care is delivered to the highest standards.
The Personal Care Worker position is integral to our cohesive team of professionals who operate within a defined clinical care framework to provide tailored support to our residents. This role is essential in maintaining high-quality care and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empower residents to lead the lives they choose by promoting independence and personal choice.
- Enhance the overall quality of life for residents, addressing their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.
- Execute clinical and care interventions as directed by Registered Nurses, in accordance with each resident's care plan.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and care needs while fostering their independence.
- Effectively prioritize tasks to deliver compassionate and respectful care.
- Exhibit kindness and patience towards residents, respecting their individual needs, privacy, dignity, and self-esteem.
- Commit to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation.
- Dependability in adhering to a rostered schedule and basic computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or actively pursuing).
- Previous experience in the aged care sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Current NDIS clearance, proof of work rights, and up-to-date immunization records (including influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations) are required.
