Job SummaryWe are seeking experienced Personal Care Workers to join our team at Ascot Waters Home. As a Personal Care Worker, you will work under the guidance of our Registered Nurses to assist our residents with their daily living activities and provide personalized care to ensure their well-being and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Support residents in maintaining their independence and autonomy.
- Contribute to the overall quality of life of our residents, including their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.
- Implement clinical and care interventions delegated by the Registered Nurses, as documented in the resident's care plan.
- Assist residents with their personal care and hygiene needs, promoting their independence and dignity.
- Prioritize workloads effectively and deliver care with compassion and kindness.
- Respect the privacy, dignity, choice, and self-esteem of our residents.
- Commit to continuous quality improvement and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act, and Quality of Care Principles.
- Reliability to work to a roster with set shifts and basic computer skills.
- Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
- Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support (or currently working towards).
- Previous work experience in the aged care sector is preferred but not essential.
- Current NDIS clearance, proof of Rights to Work, and a current immunisation certificate (including influenza and vaccination against COVID-19, including booster).
