Early Childhood Educator (Assistant) Role

We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team of early childhood educators at the YMCA WA.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who share our commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children. As an Early Childhood Educator (Assistant), you will play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that fosters children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the room leader and other educators to develop and implement individualized programs that meet the needs of children.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, safe, and organized environment that promotes children's health, well-being, and happiness.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure open and transparent relationships.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education and care.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of the National Education and Care Services Regulations 2012, the EYLF, and the NQF.
  • Ability to reflect on previous experience implementing programs in an Early Learning Centre or similar setting.
  • Capacity to obtain a HLTAID012 First Aid Certificate, National Police Clearance, and Working with Children check.
