About the Role
At Permanent People, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Legal Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Melbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to shape the careers of legal professionals and drive the success of law firms and legal teams across the city.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with law firms, corporate legal departments, and in-house legal teams to understand their recruitment needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, pitch recruitment services to prospective clients, and expand our client portfolio in the legal sector.
- Talent Acquisition: Source, attract, and engage high-calibre legal professionals, from junior associates to senior partners, through various channels including headhunting, networking, and job boards.
- Candidate Screening: Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to match candidates' skills, experience, and career aspirations with suitable opportunities.
- Market Insight: Stay updated on legal market trends, salary benchmarks, and industry movements to provide clients and candidates with informed advice.
- Negotiation: Facilitate offer processes, manage negotiations between clients and candidates, and ensure a seamless transition for successful placements.
What You'll Get
- Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Benefits: Sponsorship and some relocation costs covered if making the move internationally to Australia, hybrid and flexible working, support of a resourcing team, team social activities, supportive environment, regular team training and 1-2-1 coaching sessions, clear path for career progression.
Requirements
- Experience: A background in 360 recruitment in an agency environment within the legal sector, either Private Practice or In-House, or experience within Professional Services and open to a change of sector.
- Background: At least 2 years recruitment experience with a relevant degree or 5 years without.
- Driven: Highly motivated with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Networking: Ability to build and maintain a strong professional network within the legal community.
- Resilient: Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, competitive environment and handling multiple priorities with ease.
