Senior Backend Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced senior backend developer to join our team. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for conceiving and creating a coordinated suite of cutting-edge microservices, applications, and APIs.

This is an exciting time in our history as we modernize our core product and work with customers to enable the future of mobility.

  • You will work closely with your product team to consistently deliver high-quality, relevant products with rich functionality, usability, and performance.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Undertaking software design, development, maintenance, and test coding/automation activities to implement microservices, applications, and APIs compliant with an approved technical reference architecture.
  • Collaborating with other back-end developers and architects to identify and evaluate technology and process improvements to improve quality and commercial outcomes.
  • Actively leading and engaging in contemporary software engineering practices, including use of coding guidelines, peer code reviews, test automation, knowledge sharing, and team development.

About You:

  • Preferably tertiary-level qualified in Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science; however, professional experience is what is most important and how your skills can complement our team.
  • An empathetic team player with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, proficient when working using agile principles, roles, and practices.
