The Transition to Speciality Perioperative Nurse will be a valued member of our perioperative teams rotating across both campuses, offering comprehensive exposure and experience in perioperative nursing.

Applications are sought from Registered Nurses who are finishing their graduate year or in their junior years of practice seeking career growth and exposure in perioperative nursing.

Key responsibilities include working under the guidance of experienced perioperative educators, developing skills in areas of perioperative nursing as per the Perioperative Capability Framework – Anaesthetics, Recovery, Instrument & Circulating nursing, and accessing high-quality training resources and opportunities for professional development.

We encourage applicants who meet the following criteria to apply:

  • Current Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioners Agency).
  • Demonstrates a person and family centred approach to decision making and care planning activities.
  • Ability to work as a team member within a multidisciplinary environment.

Employment Type: These positions are a fixed-term, part-time position.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with little exposure to the operating theatre to gain valuable experience and develop new skills.
