Project Officer - Innovation and Project Coordination

Curtin University is seeking a motivated and organized Project Officer to join our dynamic team in Innovation Central Perth. This role will support the coordination and delivery of projects with industry partners, fostering strong client relationships and ensuring project milestones are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop business cases and project scoping documentation, project plans, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on project requirements, ensuring needs are met and expectations are managed.
  • Track activities against project milestones, identify impacts and risks, and resolve operational problems.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between ICP and its stakeholders, maintaining positive relationships.
  • Provide administrative assistance with documentation, record-keeping, scheduling, reporting, and logistical coordination.

Essential Criteria:

  • Completion of a relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated organisational/project management skills with the ability to coordinate and implement project activities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Demonstrated effective written communication skills with the ability to construct clear and concise reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks with attention to accuracy and detail within deadlines.
