Subsea Controls Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Subsea Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will be responsible for preparing, installing, and maintaining controls-related equipment for subsea hardware.

  • Prepare, install, and maintain controls-related equipment for subsea hardware.
  • Collaborate with a team to safely and successfully install various subsea hardware components.
  • Address customer comments, requests, and complaints professionally.
  • Provide sales support by ensuring customers are fully informed about all aspects of the job.
  • Complete and submit Field Service Orders (FSO) and Field Spare Parts Tickets (FSPT) in a timely manner.

You will be responsible for addressing quality issues and documentation, including equipment and procedural defects, and communicating these findings to management. You will also finalize field documentation upon completion of each service job and offer project support to minimize downtime.

A high school diploma or equivalent technical qualification is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a field service technician role related to controls. You must have advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas: subsea controls systems, commissioning, and topside controls systems.

In addition to your technical expertise, you must possess strong troubleshooting and teaching skills related to technical tools and instruments. You should also have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and be able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings.

This is a contract position based in Perth, Australia, and requires you to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
