
Expert Financial Management Position Available

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Financial Administrator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable, receipting and banking, monthly reconciliations, processing journals, casual payroll functions, and maintaining staff attendance records.
Main Responsibilities- Process accounts payable invoices and payments and accounts receivable receipting, including banking duties.
- Manage and reconcile corporate credit cards and cab charges, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Prepare and process journals, maintaining up-to-date financial information.
- Prepare accounts payable statistics as required by relevant guidelines.
- Perform bank reconciliations, verifying accuracy and completeness.
- Undertake allocated end-of-month reconciliations, ensuring timely completion.
- Assist with maintaining finance policies and procedures, promoting efficient operations.
- Filing and archiving financial records for the section, adhering to organizational standards.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, providing accurate data.
- Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring up-to-date financial information.
- Process salaries journals and reconcile fortnightly salaries to CHRIS records, maintaining accurate employee data.
- Calculate and account for accrued salaries and on costs, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Reconcile and process payments of superannuation and payroll tax, meeting all deadlines.
- Administer the electronic time-recording system, checking and verifying electronic timesheets, processing manual adjustments as required, and processing leave and HR forms.
To succeed in this role, applicants must have experience and an understanding of accounting systems and financial applications. High-level verbal communication skills, ability to work under general direction, and ability to handle high volumes of work, multitask, and manage competing priorities and deadlines in a busy environment are essential.
BenefitsThis role is offered on a temporary basis up to 30 June 2026. The successful applicant will be accountable to the Manager Finance and work closely with the Accountant and wider finance branch.
