AI Engineer Role in Cloud Platforms

This position is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Australian financial institution and contribute to shaping the future of digital banking with a focus on creating AI-powered tools.

As an AI engineer, you will work side-by-side with top technical minds in the industry to support and scale the use of generative AI tools across a large engineering workforce.

Key responsibilities include designing solutions that align with business priorities and customer needs, collaborating on technical strategies, evaluating emerging AI-enabled development platforms, delivering modular solutions, ensuring code quality through peer reviews, mentoring team members, and promoting agile experimentation.

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong foundation in engineering for cloud platforms paired with a passion for experimenting with AI-assisted tools.

Required qualifications include a background in building scalable, resilient systems across cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, experience applying generative AI to enhance software engineering, exposure to building agentic systems, fluency in coding languages such as Python, TypeScript, or C#, familiarity with microservices architecture, daily use of AI coding assistants, and understanding of platforms such as Claude, LiteLLM, LangGraph, Hugging Face, and others.
