Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and lodging returns across various entities, dealing with accounts and journalling tax matters, and providing supporting memoranda.

You will work closely with clients, both large and small, and develop your professional skills through Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and further education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lodge returns for individuals, businesses, corporates, and trusts.
  • Deal with accounts and journalling tax matters, including corporate, income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, and more.
  • Provide supporting memoranda and high-quality working papers for client matters.
  • Research and apply Australian Taxation Office (ATO) rules and regulations.
  • Directly communicate with clients to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term success.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Australia as a public practice tax accountant.
  • A strong understanding of Australian tax fundamentals and accounting practices.
  • Confidence with Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Office.
