As a Health and Safety professional, you will play a crucial role in promoting a safe work environment across various sectors. Key responsibilities include:

Job Summary
  • Conducting site audits, investigations, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Participating in key projects to strengthen the safety culture within the organization.
  • Visiting operational sites regularly to provide support and guidance to frontline teams.
  • Bolstering technical understanding of WHS legislation, systems, and culture change practices to implement effective solutions.
  • Partnering with site leaders to improve safety performance and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Identifying and implementing safety solutions to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborating closely with the national Health and Safety team to share best practices and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
About You

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or a related field.
  • A proactive mindset and strong communication skills to effectively engage with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • The confidence to build relationships at all levels and influence positive change.
  • Motivation to learn and commit to making a difference in the workplace.
  • Previous exposure to high-risk industries such as construction, mining, or manufacturing is highly regarded but not essential.
  • A current driver's license and basic proficiency in office systems.
  • A White Card is beneficial but not required immediately; we can provide support to obtain one if needed.
  • Final year students or graduates within the last 18 months are eligible to apply.
