Job Description

As a seasoned Family Lawyer, you will manage a diverse and stimulating caseload including complex parenting disputes, property settlements, financial agreements, divorce, de facto and same-sex relationship matters, and domestic violence cases. You will work collaboratively with junior solicitors and a team of Paralegals who handle non-legal tasks such as billing and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a varied caseload of family law matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Provide guidance and support to junior solicitors, fostering a culture of collaboration and learning
  • Work closely with Paralegals to streamline administrative tasks and maximize productivity
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and strategies, driving growth and revenue
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 4–8+ years PAE in Family Law, ideally within private practice
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a full caseload independently, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Prior experience mentoring junior lawyers, with a track record of success
  • Strong interest in achieving or already holding Specialist Accreditation in Family Law
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike
