The primary responsibility of a Supportive Companion is to teach skills and provide support to individuals in their home and community, treating them with dignity and respect.
About the Role:- We are seeking an individual who can work independently and as part of a team to provide supportive companionship to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Responsibilities include teaching skills, providing daily living assistance, and advocating for individuals served at all times.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Must be physically able to evacuate individuals in an emergency and apply behavior management techniques as directed.
- Valid driver's license.
- Able to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
Moderate frequency of physical intervention, including lifting and transferring, must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted. Must also be able to evacuate individuals in an emergency and apply behavior management techniques as directed.
