About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Principal to join our leadership team at Rockhampton North Special School. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in leading the management of student support matters, including complex case management, healthcare plans, and personal care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of student support matters, including complex case management, healthcare plans, and personal care needs.
  • Collaborate closely with staff and the wider school community to enhance the learning experience for all students.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive student outcomes and improve student engagement.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning practices.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading teams or projects focused on positive student outcomes.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices in a special school setting, with a focus on Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
