Health and Safety Performance Lead

About the Role
The Health and Safety Performance Lead is accountable for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety performance at our Seven Hills site. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and a proactive approach to mitigating risks and improving compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy that aligns with company policies and industry best practices
- Maintain accurate records of health and safety performance, including incident reporting and audits
- Collaborate with site managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation of health and safety initiatives
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize exposure to hazards
- Provide training and support to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols
- Lead and participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor and report on key health and safety metrics, including injury rates and near-miss incidents
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in health and safety management in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practices
- Proven track record of improving health and safety performance and reducing risk
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others
- Certifications in health and safety management, such as OHSA or NEBOSH, are highly desirable

Salary Range
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience
