Senior Technical Consultant Role

The role of Senior Technical Consultant involves performing on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat Infrastructure solutions and offerings. This will enable you to gain an understanding of customers' infrastructure and business needs, allowing you to make recommendations appropriate to their environment to create possibilities and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted adviser for Red Hat engineers and project and technical managers to deliver and implement the right solutions for our customers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on site, addressing customer technical, development, and IT issues and needs.
  • Develop new skills and apply those concepts to customer needs.
  • Be adaptable to changing customer requirements.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems, support system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions.
  • Participate in internal initiatives, create consulting white papers, and update the knowledge base.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on issues that may affect project or company performance.
  • Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions, handling sensitive conversations professionally.
  • Kick off new projects, guide the implementation team, and monitor project progress.
Requirements

This role requires 3+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on development and deployment projects.

Candidates should have experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Red Hat Automation products including Ansible & AAP.

Knowledge of other Infrastructure technologies such as:

  • Red Hat Satellite
  • Authentication services like IdM/IPA
  • Virtualisation technologies
  • Linux Security Practices and tools

Candidates must also possess exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and planning skills.

A Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days, is desirable.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.

AGSVA Security Clearance at NV1 or above is desirable. Willingness to undertake appropriate clearance is a must.
