This role involves traveling between clients' homes, building meaningful relationships, and assisting them with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centered care and support.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Domestic assistance: Light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to create a comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Social support/transportation: Accompanying customers on social activities, shopping/groceries, and traveling to medical appointments to help them stay connected and engaged with their community.
  • Supporting independence: Assisting customers in the use of aids such as standing or walking frames and wheelchairs to maintain their mobility and confidence.
  • Monitoring well-being: Keeping a close eye on the health and progress of our customers, reporting any changes or concerns to ensure they receive the best possible care.
  • Collaboration and training: Participating in staff meetings, attending training sessions, and working under the supervision of our Care Coordinator to continually develop skills and knowledge.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate to provide immediate assistance in emergency situations.
  • Completed NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) to ensure customer safety and trust.
  • Reliable Australian Driver's Licence and access to a registered, insured vehicle for transporting customers.
  • Smartphone with internet access to stay connected with colleagues, customers, and vital information.
