Job Title: Electrical Infrastructure Renewal Expert

Hydro Tasmania is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the renewal of our aging hydropower infrastructure. As part of our team, you will play a key role in designing, upgrading and maintaining our complex electrical systems ensuring safe and reliable operation.

  • Review and provide recommendations for final engineering sign-off on concept designs, detailed drawings, reports and project proposals.
  • Offer high-level technical input to resolve complex project challenges, ensuring solutions are technically sound and aligned with operational requirements.
  • Develop and assess technical solutions to asset issues, supporting safe and timely commissioning of new or refurbished equipment.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers contributing to team capability and professional development.

Key qualifications include:

  • Significant experience in design, construction, or management of large-scale industrial or energy infrastructure.
  • Strong track record of providing technical leadership, managing engineering risk and delivering high-quality outcomes across complex projects.
  • Confident in engineering reviews and decision-making, with a collaborative approach to team work.
