Production Quality Specialist

Key to this position is your ability to identify and address quality issues in vehicle production as part of a dynamic Quality team. You will work closely with 8 experienced Quality Assurance Officers at our Ipswich facility.
About the RoleThe Production Quality Control Engineer oversees vehicle inspection to ensure customer acceptance. Investigating, analyzing and countering significant quality issues is crucial to fostering problem-solving concepts and continuous improvement.
You will act as a point of elevation for production-related non-conformances, providing expert-level support in quality management to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience- Mechanical or Quality Engineering qualification;
- Experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance delivering complex platforms/systems in regulated industries such as defence, automotive and/or aviation;
- Internal or external audit or inspection experience;
- Exposure to SAP working environment;
- Demonstrated experience in Quality Management principles;
- Ability to read and interpret standards, engineering drawings and customer specifications;
- Lean Manufacturing experience including Root Cause Analysis Techniques;
- Demonstrated experience with 8D and A3 tools; and
- Australian Government Security Clearance eligibility (must hold Australian Citizenship).
