About the Role

The Heavy Diesel Mechanic is a key member of our Maintenance Team responsible for optimising the performance, availability, and safety of mobile and fixed plant assets.

Working closely with the Process and Maintenance Teams, you will prioritise mechanical maintenance activities including Preventative and Adhoc tasks to achieve maintenance targets, ensure statutory compliance, and maintain production continuity.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritise maintenance activities to minimise production disruptions
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation focusing on the weekly maintenance plan
  • Ensure accurate data entry into the process plant reporting system tracking downtime and safety metrics
  • Comply with WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
  • Uphold Duty of Care responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a qualified HD Mechanic with at least three years post-trade experience ideally in the mining industry and with exposure to fixed plant operations.

You must hold current competencies in Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights with additional training in First Aid and Low Voltage Rescue considered advantageous.

A strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential to success in this role.
