About the Role

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to join their team in a dynamic and challenging role. As a key member of the facilities operations team, you will be responsible for leading a multi-skilled team in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of facility infrastructure and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and lead assigned team/teams to achieve allocated elements of the program Statement of Work (SOW) requirements.
    • Plan, organize, resource and coordinate the execution of work schedules for allocated team/teams.
  • Maintenance Operations
    • Lead, coordinate, supervise and execute preventative maintenance program on assigned facility systems and associated equipment.
    • Evaluate and document the functionality and reliability of assigned systems and associated equipment.
  • Quality and Performance
    • Develop and implement systems that contribute to quality improvements in the collection of maintenance information to enable strategic and forward-looking plans and reviews.
    • Identify, propose and contribute to the development of process improvements relevant to assigned system and equipment responsibilities.
  • Personnel Management
    • Manage personnel issues and leave requests. Ensure the appropriate coverage necessary to meet site maintenance requirements and compliance with Oasis process and procedures.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements. Ensure team compliance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • Certificate III in a relevant Trade or equivalent experience and skills.
    • Applicable trades include but not limited to:
      • Electrical
      • Plumbing
      • Refrigeration
      • Mechanical
    • Experience in Facilities Plant Operation or Management.
  • Behavioral Competencies
    • Self-starter, demonstrated initiative with strong ability and desire to identify and resolve problems.
    • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated resilience, flexibility, and capability to adapt to change.
    • Proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts.
  • Leadership Competencies
    • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and manage operational requirements for O&M.
    • Proven ability to align O&M strategies with the overall site direction.
    • Ability to contribute to, and implement new strategies and plans for program operations.
  • Management Competencies
    • Experience in operational configuration planning and execution in a team environment.
    • Proven ability to apply knowledge and experience in the preparation and delivery of reports, briefings, analysis and investigations.

Working Environment

Personnel are required to be medically fit to work and safely complete all physical tasks associated with the role in which they are employed. While much of this role is sedentary in nature, personnel must remain able to safely lift and operate the necessary tools and equipment, enter multiple physically restrictive plant access points and swiftly traverse the distances between them without undue impacts to individual health and wellbeing.
