Veterinary Care Expert

We are seeking an experienced Animal Care Specialist to join our team at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Camden (UVTHC). As part of our dedicated team, you will provide exceptional care to beloved pets while mentoring the next generation of veterinarians.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality first opinion small animal services including medicine, surgery, and anaesthesia within Camden/Wollondilly districts.
- Deliver 'hands-on' clinical training to final year students for 'Day One' skills, including independent supervision of spey clinic and first opinion consults.
- Support undergraduate veterinarians and nursing staff in decision making and case management.
- Participate actively in development of wide range of skills and dissemination of knowledge through attendance at journal club and hospital rounds.
- Requirements:
- A degree in veterinary science registrable in NSW is essential.
- Previous experience in a small animal primary care practice is also required.
- The ability to work independently and within a team environment is necessary.
- Understanding of the balance of client expectations, financial limitations, and animal welfare is essential.
- Experience in teaching/coaching others is highly valued.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
