Job Title:

Maintenance Officer

Job Overview:

  • This is a key role that involves managing all required maintenance duties and tasks.
  • The successful candidate will undertake daily operational and maintenance checks of all plant, equipment and buildings.
  • General maintenance/handyman duties or work across other trade areas within skill level are also required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant Australian Standards associated with maintenance of a private hospital facility is necessary.
  • The team member will participate in after-hours on-call service, performing after-hours maintenance/emergency tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all required maintenance duties and tasks.
  • Undertake a daily operational and maintenance check of all plant, equipment and buildings.
  • Perform general maintenance / handyman duties or work across other trade areas within skill level, as required.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the relevant Australian Standards associated with maintenance of a private hospital facility.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call service, performing after-hours maintenance / emergency tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade experience is desirable but not necessary (Plumbing, Mechanical fitter, electrical or Carpentry).
  • Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance, preferably hospitals.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
