This is a challenging role for someone who is skilled in mechanical servicing, welding and general maintenance with experience in marine diesel engines like Scania and Cummins.

About the Position

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with carpentry and shipwright work, performing basic fiberglassing, welding and mechanical repairs, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and engineering issues, conducting servicing and general repairs across various systems, and providing excellent service and support to skippers, engineers and crew.

  • Assist with carpentry and shipwright tasks as needed
  • Perform basic fiberglassing, welding and mechanical repairs
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and rectify mechanical and engineering problems
  • Carry out servicing and general repairs across a range of systems
  • Provide exceptional service and support to skippers, engineers and crew members

About You

You are a mechanically-minded individual with a strong background in mechanical servicing, welding and general maintenance. You have experience working with marine diesel engines and possess basic carpentry and fiberglassing skills. Qualifications and Experience
  • Certificate in Mechanical Trade or MED (essential)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a mechanical or marine environment (desired)
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights certifications (desired)
  • Senior First Aid certification (desired)
