Job Overview

The AWS Global Services team comprises experts from various backgrounds, offering assistance to customers in designing, building, operating, and securing their cloud environments. We empower customers to innovate with our Professional Services, upskill with Training and Certification, optimize with Support and Managed Services, and achieve objectives with Security Assurance Services.

In our Solutions Architect role at AWS, we help customers successfully implement cloud technologies by partnering with internal teams and leveraging a deep understanding of our tools and products. You will create highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address our customers' business challenges.

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our Public Sector team to develop and execute a strategy for increasing awareness and adoption of AWS cloud services among key accounts and fostering ongoing technical relationships with customers in the Australian Government community.

A successful candidate should possess effective communication skills, enabling them to represent Amazon professionally within a customer's environment and engage in discussions with senior personnel. They should also have a solid technical background, allowing them to collaborate easily with software developers and architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex cloud architectures for customers in the public sector.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cloud adoption and foster strong customer relationships.
  • Provide expert guidance to customers on cloud best practices and security measures.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of AWS products and services to effectively communicate their value proposition to customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proven experience in cloud architecture and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and features.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
