Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, building, and operating scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.

This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver architecture and infrastructure solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure, as well as providing guidance and support to other teams on cloud-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Build Cloud Infrastructure: Design and build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures using IaC tools such as Terraform and Serverless Framework.
  2. Maintain and Operate Cloud Environment: Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure by performing periodic reviews and addressing gaps and issues.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, product management, and operations teams to deliver architecture and infrastructure solutions.
  4. Provide Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to other teams on cloud-related matters, including observability, availability, scalability, and security.
  5. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, and recommend best practices and new technologies to improve our cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computing or Equivalent: A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
  • 5+ Years' Experience in Virtualized Environments: At least 5 years of experience working with virtualized environments, such as AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Expert-Level Knowledge of Scripting Languages: Expert-level knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Python or Node.js.
  • Hands-on Experience with IaC Tools: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform and Serverless Framework.
  • Outstanding Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
