This crucial role plays a pivotal part in safeguarding an organization's digital ecosystem against evolving cyber threats.
The Cyber Security Operations Analyst reports directly to the Director – Cyber Security and is responsible for defending vital systems, data, and infrastructure.
- Conduct real-time monitoring of security events and perform proactive threat analysis.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to investigate, document, and resolve security incidents.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and NDR tools.
- Deliver cybersecurity awareness training and guidance to employees and contractors.
- Maintain documentation of security configurations, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a cyber security related role, preferably in a SOC environment.
- Relevant cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH.
