We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supportive Care Professional to join our team in Nundah, QLD.

Job Summary:

As a Supportive Care Professional, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients with disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily activities and tasks, promoting their independence and self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Clients with Daily Activities: Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting their independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Provide Manual Handling Support: Provide manual handling support, including assistance with transfers, lifting, and positioning, to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.
  • Operate Hoisting Equipment: Safely operate and maintain hoisting equipment to ensure its effective use and minimize the risk of injury.
  • Foster a Positive Environment: Foster a positive and supportive environment for our clients, promoting social engagement and community participation.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress, ensuring seamless communication among team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in Manual Handling: Possess experience in manual handling and hoisting, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support: Hold a Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field, demonstrating your expertise in supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Compassionate Approach: Possess a compassionate and patient approach, with excellent communication skills, to effectively engage with clients and provide personalized support.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility: Demonstrate your ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification: Hold current First Aid and CPR certification, ensuring you can respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
