The Herd Health and Welfare Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our livestock, while also maintaining high standards of quality. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pig farm, including supervising a team of technicians and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of animal care technicians to ensure efficient and effective livestock production
  • Promote safety within the team by conducting regular risk assessments and implementing safety protocols
  • Lead team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and address any concerns or issues
  • Complete orientation and training of new animal care technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively

In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will also be involved in maintaining herd health status at an acceptable level, working closely with the site leaders to identify and implement strategies to improve animal health and wellbeing.
