Senior Tax Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our tax team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax obligations in Australia and New Zealand, including preparing tax advice, Business Activity Statements/GST returns, and Income Tax returns.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or law, with at least 5 years of experience in direct and/or indirect tax compliance and advisory. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing tax advice in relation to Australian and New Zealand taxes
  • Managing preparation of Business Activity Statements/GST returns
  • Preparation of Income Tax returns
  • Collaborating with tax teams on tax issues
  • Supporting statutory audits and finalization of financial statements
  • Assisting in data preparation and collation for tax audits and litigation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of work experience in direct and/or indirect tax compliance and advisory
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on tax matters in relation to e-commerce businesses
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CA/CPA
