Senior Tax Specialist

The role of a Senior Tax Specialist plays a pivotal part in ensuring effective tax compliance across Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with external consultants to coordinate and lead tax and reporting compliance activities, developing robust taxation procedures, processes, and controls.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain relationships with external service providers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality tax compliance documents.
- Prepare and submit direct and indirect tax compliance documents, including audits, employee share schemes, company tax returns, FBT, GST, payroll tax, and stamp duty.
- Review and maintain franking and dividend imputation credit accounts across the group and subsidiaries.
- Provide expert tax advice to internal stakeholders on federal and state taxes.
- Communicate tax changes and deliver technical training to business units as needed.
- Develop internal processes and reports for tax reporting and audit purposes.
- 4+ years' experience in a high-volume, multi-site tax role with exposure to Australian and New Zealand tax regulations.
- CA / CPA qualification (or equivalent).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong collaboration and change management capabilities.
- Proven team leadership and employee management experience.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and reconciliation accuracy.
